Pristine collects information in three ways:

Volunteered information

Personal information is gathered when you register as a member. During registration, Pristine asks for your name, email address, organization, street address, city, country, and zip code. The more information you volunteer (and the more accurate it is), the better we are able to customize your experience. Once you register you are no longer anonymous to Pristine - you are given a Pristine Member ID. and are able to take full advantage of Pristine's online services and products.

If you contact Pristine we may keep a record of that correspondence. Pristine also occasionally asks users to complete surveys that we use for research purposes and to improve your experience of our services and products.

A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. Generally, we use cookies to:

  1. Remind us of who you are and to access your Member information (stored on our computers) in order to deliver to you better and more personalized services. This cookie is set when you register or Login and is modified when you Logout of our services.
  2. Estimate our audience size. Each browser accessing this web site is given a unique cookie which is then used to determine the extent of repeat usage, usage by members versus non-members, and to help develop and target services and products based on user interests and behavior.
  3. Measure certain traffic patterns, which areas of Pristine's Sites you have visited, and your visiting patterns in the aggregate. We use this research to understand how our users' habits are similar or different from one another so that we can make each new experience on our web sites a better one. We may use this information to improve the personalization of content that you and other users will see on our sites.

You may set up your browser to reject cookies or alert you when they are sent, but this may limit some of this web site's features.

Aggregate information

Pristine also collects non-personal information for system administration to compile aggregate, anonymous information for our own reference. This information might include the browser you use, type of computer, operating systems, Internet service providers, and other similar information.
